asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether in respect of imported finished goods, he will abolish the postponed accounting system of value added tax.

The postponed accounting system was raised at the January meeting of the NEDC on the basis of a report from the knitting EDC. My right hon. Friend agreed to look at the matter again.
