My Department is not represented in the north-west and county of Avon, in which surveys of the ethnic origins of non-industrial civil servants are being undertaken as announced by my hon. Friend, the Minister of State, Treasury in the House on 24 March 1983. The Government will need to decide how to proceed once the results of these surveys are known.—[Vol. 39, c.461.]
