Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish in the Official Report the index of production for the years 1980 to 1983 for vegetables, fruit and non-edible horticultural output; and if he will show the weights of each in the overall figure.

An index of production for the horticulture industry is not normally calculated. However, the outputs of vegetables, fruit and other horticulture in constant 1980 prices are tabulated in the "Departmental Net Income Calculation, Annual Review 1984, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Appendix Table 'B'", published on Friday, 3 February 1984, a copy of which is available in the Library.
