HC Deb 08 February 1984 vol 53 c658W
61. Mr. Andrew MacKay

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on planning and development in the south east in the light of the forthcoming completion of the M25 motorway.

Mr. Macfarlane

My right hon. Friend has now received a reply from Lord Sandford, chairman of the standing conference on London and south east regional planning, to his request for its views on a draft letter of guidance on the implications of the M25 for future development and land use policies in the region. When my right hon. Friend has considered these views he will finalise the guidance and then make a statement.
