HC Deb 08 February 1984 vol 53 c620W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many objections have been received to the Liverpool secondary schools reorganisation plan; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Dunn

A total of 47 statutory and 51 other objections were submitted to Liverpool education authority and forwarded by it to my right hon. Friend on 2 February. In addition, over 1,000 letters opposing the proposals have been sent direct to the Department. My right hon. Friend will take full account of the arguments advanced in these documents when he decides the proposals.
