§ Mr. Spellerasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) what information he has about Government-sponsored financial aid available for energy conservation measures in private houses in each European Economic Community country including the United Kingdom;
(2) what information he has about Government-sponsored financial assistance available to industry for energy conservation measures in each European Economic Community country including the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThe European Commission has produced a report giving details of energy conservation measures in all member states. This was deposited in the House and an explanatory memorandum submitted on 6 March l981. (EEC document No. 4582/81, updated by some information in EEC document No. 7982/82, on which an explanatory memorandum was submitted on 5 July 1982). The Commission is expected to be undertaking further reviews of member states' energy conservation programmes.
