HC Deb 07 February 1984 vol 53 c537W
Mr. Baldry

asked the Attorney-General whether any changes have been made to his Class IX, Vote 12, cash limits for the Treasury Solicitor's Department estimates.

The Attorney-General

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate the cash limit has been increased by £255,000 from £10,723,000 to £10,978,000.

The Forestry Commission's conveyancing work is now undertaken by the Treasury Solicitor on repayment, and due to improved methods and greater efficiency the amount recoverable is less than originally estimated. The shortfall in these receipts will be partly offset by increased receipts from charges against estates administered as bona vacantia and general receipts. The cash limit increase is being met from the Contingency Reserve and will not therefore add to the public expenditure planning total.
