asked the Attorney-General if he will make a statement on the current position in relation to the preparation of detailed plans and specifications for the construction of Crown courts at Truro to replace those existing at Bodmin.

The estimated cost of the proposed new courts at Truro, including site costs, is £3.2 million.

asked the Attorney-General if he will estimate the costs of constructing appropriate alternative courts at Truro to those currently at Truro.

The outline sketch designs for the new Crown courts at Truro have been completed. The remaining design stages for this project will be completed by the end of 1984. The contact for the construction of the courts will be let in the spring of 1985.
