Mr. Baldry

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what was the pupil to teacher ratio in (a) primary and (b) secondary schools in Oxfordshire in 1970, 1974, 1979 and 1983.

The pupil-teacher ratios for maintained prima y and secondary schools for 1974, 1979 and 1983 are as follows:
