(2) whether he will publish the response he has received to his White Paper, "Streamlining the Cities", Cmnd. 9063, from the Association of District Councils;
(3) whether he will publish the response he has received to his White Paper, "Streamlining the Cities", Cmnd. 9063, from the Association of Metropolitan Authorities.

§ Mr. Ripponasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) how many representations he has received in response to Cmnd. 9063 which have supported the establishment of at least three new rate precepting authorities for public transport, police and fire services in each of the six metropolitan counties outside London;
(2) how many submissions he received by 31 January in response to the White Paper on the abolition of the metropolitan county councils and the Greater London council; and how many of these were in favour of the proposed arrangements.
