§ Mr. David MitchellThe gross annual proceeds from sales of BR surplus land and property has grown fom £10 447W million in 1978 to £34 million in 1982. The final figure for 1983 is expected to be significantly higher. We are encouraging the board to do even better and the objectives we have given the chairman of British Rail include a vigorous policy of property disposal.
