HC Deb 02 February 1984 vol 53 c301W
Mr. Kennedy

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now consider the immediate introduction of building regulations in Scotland relating to formaldehyde gas in cavity wall insulation in timber frame houses identical to those now in operation in England and Wales.

Mr. Ancram

I have already consulted interested bodies on this matter and intend very shortly to introduce a building standards regulation restricting urea-formaldehyde insulation in cavity walls to those of masonry construction.
