HC Deb 01 February 1984 vol 53 c228W
Sir Dudley Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government will ensure that no public money is given to any foreign organisation that is carrying out a war of so-called national liberation, or one that uses terrorist methods in attempting to secure its political objectives.

Mr. Whitney

We provide no public funds to organisations which use violence in pursuit of their political objectives. We condemn terrorism from whatever source both nationally and in international organisations of which the United Kingdom is a member.
