§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the revenue in 1985–86 from taxing that part of the lump sum taken on retirement in 1985–86 accruing to members of pension schemes from contributions after April 1985.
§ Mr. Moore[pursuant to his reply, 20 December 1984]: The Revenue would depend, amongst other things, on the rate at which tax was charged and the rules for calculating that part of each lump sum accruing from contributions after 1985. However, any yield in 1985–86 is likely to be small.
