(2) what is the status of the joint programme with the United States of America to install an over-the-horizon radar in England; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Butler[pursuant to the reply, 3 December 1984, c. 50]: The United Kingdom and United States are collaborating in a joint programme of studies aimed at testing the feasibility of siting an over-the-horizon radar system in the United Kingdom. These studies are at a very early stage and there are at present no firm plans for implementation. The project is no longer called Cold Witness.
