§ Mr. Kenneth BakerThe principles used in the construction of safety net multipliers were described in annex H to the Rate Support Grant Report (England) 1985–86, which was laid before the House on 11 December. Since then a technical error has been discovered in paragraph 6 of that annex. The error does not affect the statutory determinations of the multipliers or any of the calculations of grant or targets sent to local authorities. Nevertheless, for the removal of doubt, my right hon. Friend has today laid before the House the 1985–86 RSG report with a correction to the paragraph. The opportunity is also being taken to correct a printer's mistake. The text of the report is otherwise unchanged from the one published last week. A copy of the revised Report will be sent to all local authorities.
