§ Mr. Steelasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, following recent major improvements to that section of the A7 trunk route just north of the Scottish border, he will examine as a matter of urgency the need for an improvement scheme to that section of the route immediately south of the border.
§ Mrs. ChalkerTrunk routes in the area are constantly monitored. I have no current proposals for improvement of the A7 south of the border.
