HC Deb 18 December 1984 vol 70 c82W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will provide information on the end-use of plutonium produced in Britain in the last year.

Mr. Goodlad

I can confirm that no plutonium derived from CEGB or SSEB power stations has been used other than for civil purposes in the last year; and, that Her Majesty's Government's policy in this area remains as given by my hon. Friend the Member for Croydon, Central (Mr. Moore) in answer to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Bedfordshire, North (Mr. Skeet) on 4 February 1983, at column 206.

Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will publish a record of the amount of plutonium produced at Wylfa during the first three years of its existence.

Mr. Goodlad

I have nothing to add to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Member for Croydon, Central (Mr. Moore) to my hon. Friend the Member for Bedfordshire, North (Mr. Skeet) on 9 March 1983, at column 401.
