HC Deb 18 December 1984 vol 70 c82W
Mr. Greenway

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what recent representations he has received from industry urging that energy prices to industry should not be increased to cover increased costs to the energy supply industries arising from the miners' strike.

Mr. Goodlad

I have received a number of representations from trade associations and individual firms expressing their concern that the miners' strike might lead to higher electricity prices. I have informed these organisations that no decisions have been taken on how the costs arising from the strike will be met.
