HC Deb 17 December 1984 vol 70 cc56-7W
Mr. Hardy

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will introduce measures to ensure that as a general principle where broad-leaved trees are felled grant aid should only be available for re-stocking with broad-leaved trees.

Mr. John MacKay

The Forestry Commission already has a general presumption in favour of broad-leaved woodland normally being re-stocked with broad-leaved species.
