§ Mr. Hickmetasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps Her Majesty's Government take to ensure that treaty obligations entered into by Greece, Turkey and the United Kingdom under the treaty of Lausanne and more particularly the convention respecting the Thracian frontier and article 1(2) thereof, are observed.
§ Mr. RentonWe have no reason to believe that we are not adequately discharging any obligation imposed upon us by the treaty of Lausanne. The convention respecting the Thracian frontier was superseded by an agreement signed at Salonika on 31 July 1938, to which we are not a party.
