HC Deb 14 December 1984 vol 69 c655W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the sites and acreage of land at present held by the Greater London council which he proposes to transfer to the London borough of Brent.

Sir George Young

Under clause 92 of the Local Government Bill we intend to transfer to successor bodies all property currently owned by the GLC or MCCs which is needed by them to carry out new or enhanced functions conferred on them. Property which has not been transferred under clause 92, or other specific provisions of the Bill, will vest in the appropriate residuary body. Detailed information about the GLC's holdings of land in the London borough of Brent or any other London borough is not held centrally. In the first instance, it is for such authorities themselves to obtain such information as they require from the GLC.

Mr. Proctor

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report, for each parliamentary constituency concerned, the land currently owned by the Greater London council in the county of Essex.

Mr. MacFarlane

This information is not available centrally.
