§ Mr. Barry Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales to which education establishments outside the state sector he has given regional development grant and special financial assistance.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsUnder arrangements announced in July 1974, details of selective financial assistance are published inBritish Business after the first payment is made. Pending such publication, information relating to individual applications is normally treated in confidence. In fact, only one offer of selective assistance has been made in respect of a private sector educational establishment in Wales. Exceptionally, the principal of the establishment concerned, New College, Cardiff, has agreed to my confirming that an offer of grant of £80,000 has been made subject to a number of conditions relating to the overall financing of the project.
No regional development grants have been paid in respect of such educational establishments.
