HC Deb 13 December 1984 vol 69 c585W
Mr. John Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the assumptions used to estimate the capital receipts to local authorities for 1985–86 in respect of the sale of council dwellings, including the number of sales, the sale price net of discount, the average level of discount and the ratio of private finance.

Mr. Gow

[pursuant to his reply, 12 December 1984, c.500]: It is estimated that of the forecast of £1,595 million for total receipts, £1,305 million will be from the sale of council houses not £1,460 million as stated in the answer. The detailed forecasts and the underlying assumptions about council house sales, are as given in my earlier answer. I apologise to the hon. Member for this error.
