§ Mr. Giles ShawThe only readily available information on prosecutions for speeding offences on motorways is published annually in "Offences Relating to Motor Vehicles, Supplementary Tables" (table 5 of the issue for 1983). We are satisfied that the police are taking appropriate action against speeding motorists within the constraints placed on them by their other duties.
