My right hon. Friend the Prime Minister stated in paragraph 15 of the annex to her letter of 19 September to the hon. Member for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley (Mr. Foulkes), which was published in theOfficial Report on 29 October at columns 788–91, as has been frequently made clear the first indications of these proposals did not reach London from Washington until 11.15 pm London time on 2 May—over three hours after the attack on the Belgrano—and from Lima until 2 am London time on 3 May".
