The readily available information relates to the number of findings of guilt at magistrates' courts for the offences of failing to stop after an accident and of failing to report an accident within 24 hours and is published annually in "Offences Relating to Motor Vehicles, England and Wales, Supplementary Tables" (table 5 of the issue for 1983).
