Each place included in a formal contract attracts a fee of £100. In addition, and provided certain current requirements are met, £39 per week is made available to the agent as long as a place remains filled.

However, MSC figures will include a number of accidents, in particular road traffic accidents during scheme time and accidents to trainees in educational establishments, which may not have been reportable to HSE had the individuals been employed. † Major injuries are classified according to the severtiey criteria laid down in the Notification of Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1980.
