Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Prime Minister if she will list the trustees of the National Heritage memorial fund, stating in each case their profession or, where retired, former profession and other information relevant to their trusteeship of the fund.

  • Lord Charteris of Amisfield: (Chairman). Private secretary to the Queen and Keeper of HM's Archives 1972–77; Trustee of the British Museum since 1979.
  • Baroness Airey of Abingdon: Trustee of the Domeywood Trust and Stansted Park Foundation.
  • Lord Anglesey: Vice-Chairman of the Welsh Committee of the National Trust; Chairman of the Historic Buildings Council for Wales; Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.
  • Sir Robert Cooke: The Government's Special Adviser for Palace of Westminster; Board member of the British Tourist Authority nd Chairman of its Heritage Committee.
  • Professor F. Holliday: academic; Vice President of the Civic Trust for the North East; Trustee of the Scottish Civic Trust.
  • Mr. Martin Jacomb: barrister and banker.
  • Mr. Clive Jenkins: trade union leader; member of the General Council of the Trades Union Congress.
  • Mr. Charles Kinahan: brewer; Chairman of the Northern Ireland Historic Buildings Council since 1973.
  • Mr. Michael McCrum: academic; the Master of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
  • Sir Norman Macfarlane: industrialists; President of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts; Governor of the Glasgow School of Art; Patron of the National Art-Collections Scottish Fund.
  • Professor B. Morris: academic; member of the Museums and Galleries Commissions; Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.
