§ Mr. Sean Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he will list all financial aid from central Government and the European Commission direct to industry in the borough of Knowsley during 1984–85 showing the amount involved in each category;
(2) what is the value of regional development grants and selective financial assistance to Knowsley in 1984–85; what was their value in 1983–84; what their estimated value will be in 1985–86 and 1986–87; and what form this assistance will take following his statement of 28 November to the House;
(3) how he envisages the changes in the Government's regional industrial policy will affect Merseyside over the next three years; and if he will make a statement.
