§ Mr. Michael SpicerOn 12 December last year my right hon. Friend announced to the House the Government's intention to proceed with the privatisation of British Airways as soon as possible. Subsequently the business of the British Airways board was on 1 April 1984 vested in British Airways plc. With assistance from our advisers and from the airline we are continuing with detailed preparations for a flotation early next year.
