HC Deb 01 August 1984 vol 65 c365W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to his answer of 18 July, Official Report, columns 203–4, regarding action following the report of the Warnock committee on human fertilisation and embryology, if he plans any interim action on any of the matters raised by the report, including current reproduction technology programmes and similar projects, such as schemes for surrogate mother pregnancies; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I have nothing to add to the reply to which the right hon. Member refers. This report has now been sent to a wide range of interested organisations and individuals. We shall consider whether or not any interim action is called for as we receive considered responses from these organisations and from the public.
