HC Deb 01 August 1984 vol 65 c331W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if, under the milk quota scheme, dairy farmers in Wales who have expanded production during the past three years with the agreement of his Department's agricultural advisers, but without a European Economic Community grant, will be treated in the same way as dairy farmers who have made a similar expansion aided by a grant from the European Economic Community.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

Under the Dairy Produce Quotas Regulations 1984, producers who before 1 March 1984 committed themselves to investments to increase their production may apply for extra quota irrespective of whether a development plan or grant application exists.

Applicants will be required to supply adequate evidence in support of such claims.
