§ Dr. Godmanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many youth training scheme places were identified and supported in the Greenock travel-to-work area and in Strathclyde region during the last month for which statistics are available.
§ Mr. Allan Stewart[pursuant to his reply, 18 July 1984, c. 242]: During June 1984 seven and 5,897 places were approved locally for the Greenock travel-to-work area and Strathclyde region respectively. The majority of places will be approved in the forthcoming months as 1983–84 schemes become available for renewal.
