§ Mr. BrookeThe information available to the Department about school closures relates only to proposals published by local education authorities under section 12 473W of the Education Act 1980 to cease to maintain schools which were either approved by my right hon. Friend or determined by the LEA. This information is available only for proposals published since this section of the Act came into force on 1 August 1980. Schools maintained by Essex local education authority for which cease to maintain proposals were approved by my right hon. Friend or determined since that date are as follows:
