Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what part the National Co-operative Development Agency and local co-operative development agencies will be playing in local enterprise week.

Mr. Trippier

The national Co-operative Development Agency has been kept fully informed about local enterprise week. Individual local co-operative development agencies have also been kept in touch through a CDA-organised forum of representatives of local co-operative development agencies and other organisations in the co-operative support area.

The CDA, in conjunction with the forum, is currently considering how best it might contribute to the success of local enterprise week.
