asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many letters which have been with his Department for four, six, eight, 10 and over 12 weeks, respectively, as at 10 April and which were from Members of Parliament remain without substantive replies from his Department.

As at 10 April 1984, three letters from Members of Parliament addressed to Ministers in this Department had been with the Department for four weeks; three for six weeks; and three for eight weeks without a substantive reply. No such letters had been with the Department for 10 or 12 weeks.
