‡ Provisional.

Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what arrangements have been made by the European Economic Community Ministers of Agriculture for curtailing the production of wine.

Mrs. Fenner

The Agreement reached by the Community Ministers of Agriculture on 31 March contained a number of disincentives to over-production of wine. These included the first ever reduction in guide

Mr. MacGregor

The dairy sector accounts for about one-third of the estimated annual United Kingdom consumption of 19 million tonnes of concentrated animal feedingstuffs. The effect on feedingstuff consumption of the introduction of milk quotas will depend on a number of factors, including decisions taken by individual farmers, and it is not possible to give any reliable estimates.
