asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent discussions he has had with representatives of the Republic of Cuba on matters of concern to United Kingdom policy in Latin America.

None, but my right hon. and noble Friend the Minister of State had useful talks with one of the Cuban Vice Ministers for External Relations last September.

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek to pay an early official visit to Cuba.

My right hon. and learned Friend has no plans to visit Cuba at present.
