HC Deb 13 April 1984 vol 58 cc434-5W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many early leavers from the youth training scheme programme in Wales since the programme started have (a) found full-time employment, (b) gone into further or higher education and (c) become unemployed again; and if he will publish this information broken down for the four administration areas which implement the scheme.

Mr. John Stradling Thomas

This information is not available. However, I understand that a report (covering Great Britain as a whole) on the destination of young people leaving the Youth Training Scheme is to be presented to the Youth Training Board at their meeting of 17 April and a copy of this will be placed in the Library at the same time.

Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish by county the current number of young persons eligible for youth training scheme participation but not yet placed on a scheme.
