HC Deb 13 April 1984 vol 58 cc453-4W
Mr. Clifford Forsythe

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many sheltered dwellings have been provided in the area covered by the Antrim, South constituency in each of the last three years; and how many sheltered dwellings there are at the present time.

Mr. Chris Patten

There are 92 units of sheltered accommodation (in purpose-built complexes with communal facilities and a permanent warden). Sixteen have been provided during the last three years; they were completed in the 1982–83 financial year.
