asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he intends to have nursery schools in Tandragee and Markethill on site and open for pupils.

Mr. Scott

The timing of the provision of a controlled nursery school in Tandragee and a nursery unit in a primary school which is to be built in Markethill is in the first instance a matter for the Southern education and library board having regard to the priority which it attaches to these schemes and the resources available for capital expenditure. The inclusion of the schemes in the board's new starts programme would require the approval of the Department of Education for Northern Ireland, and it is the

(3) how many murders have been attributed lo (a) Republican terrorist groups and (b) Loyalist terrorist groups in Northern Ireland in each of the last five years.

While it is not possible to be exact, available information suggests that responsibility for these crimes can be attributed as follows:

Government's policy that the scarce resources available for capital projects should be mainly devoted to provision for children of compulsory school age.
