The Committee on Safety of Medicines received 14 reports of suspected adverse reactions associated with rubella vaccine occurring in the United Kingdom in 1983. It is important to note that a report does not necessarily imply a causal relationship between the reaction and the drug concerned. Rubella vaccine has an extremely good safety record.
