§ 39. Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement on the response to date by local authorities regarding the implementation of the latest regulations on civil defence.
§ Mr. HurdThe Civil Defence (General Local Authority Functions) Regulations 1983 came into force on 1 December 1983. We intend to monitor the response, but it will be some months yet before it will be possible to assess this comprehensively.
