§ 38. Mr. Douglasasked the Secretary of State for Defence when he next intends to meet representatives of trade unions to discuss the future of the royal dockyards.
§ Mr. LeeMy right hon. Friend has no such meetings arranged at present. He did, however, hold discussions with local trade union representatives during a vist to Devonport dockyard last week. If proposals arise affecting the future of the royal dockyards, consultations will take place in the normal way. As the hon. Gentleman is aware, I myself last week met him and the hon. Member for Dunfermline, East (Mr. Brown), accompanied by a delegation of trade union convenors from Rosyth dockyard.
