§ Mr. John MacKayMy right hon. Friend announced on 12 December, at column 326, that he had provided for a substantial increase in relevant expenditure on social work in 1984–85 which takes account of the costs to local authorities of implementing recent legislation including the requirements of the Mental Health (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 1983.
