HC Deb 10 April 1984 vol 58 c171W
Mr. Lofthouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has considered the implications of the Commission for Racial Equality's recent report into the allocations of council housing in Hackney; and if he will make a statement.

Sir George Young

The report contains much of interest and importance and I hope it will be carefully studied. I shall be speaking at a seminar on "Race and Housing" on 17 April sponsored by the Commission for Racial Equality and the Institute of Housing, at which the issues raised by the report will be discussed among housing practitioners.
