§ Mr. Robert C. Brownasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent representations he has made to any Arab Governments about recent threats to British diplomas serving overseas; and if he will list the Governments concerned in the Official Report.
§ Mr. LuceAll our embassies in the middle east have regular contact with host Governments about the security of British officials. The Syrian ambassador called at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 4 April at our request, following reports that the Abu Nidhal group had claimed responsibility for the bomb explosion in Amman on 24 March and made threats against us. The ambassador was asked to convey to his Government our very serious concern at these reports.
