§ Mr. Gorstasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department on whose authority an advertisement for a football competition from the Metropolitan police was placed with a pirate radio station called Radio Jackie operating in the Surrey area which was transmitted on Wednesday 14 March; if he has received any complaints about the matter; what action he is taking; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HurdThe Commissioner assures me that the Metropolitan police have placed no advertisement with Radio Jackie; but they cannot prevent the station using information which is publicly available.
