Mr. Terry Davis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Wormwood scrubs prison;

(2) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Pentonville prison;

(3) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Hull prison;

(4) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Gartree prison;

(5) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Albany prison;

(6) how many people are on the approved visitors lists for prisoners in category A; and how many applications for inclusion on the approved visitors lists for category A prisoners were rejected during February in Winson green prison.

There are approximately 2,000 visitors on the lists of approved visitors for prisoners in category A. Information on the number of applications rejected during February at each of the prisons mentioned could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
